Tannehill State Park

Nathan wanted to wear a hat like his Uncle Kevin does when he hikes (we had to turn it around so he could see)

Nathan and Daddy exploring the Iron Furnace (or what Nathan called a fort)

The creek that runs throughout the park

The Iron Furnace that was used to make cannonballs during the civil war

Since Dan had President's Day off and he know how much I love to be outside, he suggested we go to Tannehill State Park. We had been once before when Nathan was an infant and had a great time so we decided to give it another try. It really is such a great park for families: the hiking trails are smooth enough for a jogging stroller, there are lots of picnic tables, streams and creeks, and a nice playground. On the weekends they have a train that goes around the campsite, 2 different resteraunts and lots of craft huts set up(we have never been on a weekend but look forward to trying it soon).
