Luke 18 months

 

you love to brush your teeth or at least chew on your toothbrush

 

my newest little drummer boy.  you hate being left out and want to be right up there with Daddy and Nathan

 

 

you love swinging and you made me laugh that you wanted to hold both of your balls while you were swinging.  you also loved having nathan swing you from above

Luke, Luke, Luke.  I can’t believe you are 18 months.  From the beginning time has flown by with you but I truly can’t believe you are already a year and a half.  WOW!  You are such a blessing in our lives and we ALL love you so much.  You can still be quite clingy with me and love for me to hold you when out and about and at home you insist on behind right under foot at all times.  However, you aren’t as much of a snuggler really, just want to be right with me and to see the action.  You adore your brother and love to go get from his room if you are awake before him.  Also, recently if you get hurt you many times go right to him and after he pats you or kisses your boo boo you are “all better” much quicker than if I was holding you.  You also love your Daddy and as soon as you hear him come home you run to the door and want to be the first one he picks up.  We now have 3 drummers in the house and you don’t care how loud Daddy or Nathan are being, you wan to be right there with them.  You continue to be a good eater but you are very stubborn and want to do it your way or the highway.  Meal times can definitely be a battle of the wills and many times end up with you throwing your fork or entire plate on the ground (soon followed by a spanking).  But for your defense you eat better and are much more coordinated with your spoon and fork than Nathan was at this age.  You are understanding so many commands and Daddy and I feel like we can have a conversation with you.  Your favorite chore is to throw things in the trash.  You are starting to say more and more words which is fun.  Just like your brother you are a very physical and active little boy who does not mind getting DIRTY.  I think you even surpass Nathan in the getting dirty area because it seems like you are a magnet to any kind or dirt or mud nearby.  We can be playing at a nice park or in our front yard and you are just drawn to a bare patch of dirt and love to just get covered up in it.  I love playing outside but being covered in dirt is a bit much.  Oh well, at least you’re a boy.  We LOVE YOU LUKE!
