Irondale Cafe

Last week Dan took both Monday and Tuesday off just in case Luke had trouble after his tubes.  Since he was good as gold by the next day we decided to have a little fun and try out something new.  We drove out to Inverness and went to the Irondale Café (from the movie, “Fried Green Tomatoes”…Whistlestop Cafe).  Now I do have to admit that other than their fried green tomatoes we were not that impressed with their food.  However, there are train tracks with a viewing area right in front of the restaurant which made it exciting for the boys.  We had a table by the window which made it fun to see the trains while we ate and then we got to go out to the viewing area and thankfully another train came through so we all got to witness a train up close and personal.  Dan also treated Nathan to his first very own Sprite.  Nathan was so excited about the sprite that he actually ate most of his food in fear of us taking his sprite away.
