Growing up I loved going to the lake even though we didn’t have a lake house back then. But we have always had a boat so summer time meant boating for me. And now it means the same thing for my boys. Nathan literally had been asking me when we were going to the lake since March. Thank goodness the weather was nice and everyone had a blast!!! We have already been back since then but like I said, I am behind with my pictures.
both boys are casting and ready to catch some fish this year
we ALL love riding on the boat. I ended up with way more pics of Luke because he didn’t mind my camera in his face.
Nathan was the only one to actually get in the water because it was quite chilly. Didn’t seem to bother him though. Luke just wanted to look the part.
A rare moment of relaxation during a beautiful sunset!
We drove in to Decatur, AL to watch the Hot Air Balloon Festival “glowing at night.” This has been something I have read about in Southern Living before and have always wanted to go to.
The boys had their first “campfire” and smores. They didn’t love them as much as I thought. The stickyness of the marshmallows bothered them. But they did like to eat all of the ingredients separately.
Fun and silly times on the boat. I love my boys for sure!!!
Nathan found a toad and was in love with it for over an hour (miracle the thing was still alive to hop away). Not so sure his friend was as excited.
Last but not least, here is a dedicated potty trainer. Even willing to sit on the potty on the boat (with a little help from daddy’s phone of course)!
