Fun times in May

I decided to come back to the blogging world and write a little bit about what we have been doing in May. At the beginning of the month we stayed busy just unpacking and doing some minor home improvements in our new house. Thankfully we have gotten most everything done, except for painting the nursery, and that will have to wait because I am giving Dan a little sabatical from household projects. He has really been working hard these past couple of months getting our old house ready to be sold and then moving in and fixing up this house. I am thankful for my great husband!
Now on to our fun events. Over Memorial Day we went up to Huntsvegas to go to a wedding of one of my best high school friends. It was a lovely wedding and fun to catch up with other friends. My friend Jamie Madewell married Andrew Grodecki and I pray for blessings in their marriage.

Also while we were in Huntsville my brother, dog (Piper), Dan and I went hiking around some really neat caves that are tucked away in a neighborhood in Huntsville. My brother and I had been before but it had been several years, and Dan had never gone before. I had fun getting to show him something new and its always fun to get outside and play!

We later went to the lake and enjoyed the nice sun and boat rides, but i conveniently didn't take any pictures of these such occassions. (As many of you know, when you are pregnant you are much less excited about being in lots of pictures, especially when a swimsuit is involved!)

Our other big excitement was our House Blessing Party that we had last night, May 31st. We are so thankful to God for providing us this house and we are thankful for the many friends he has put in our lives, so this night was a perfect event in which we were able to have friends over to our new home and also be fortunate enough to have them pray specifically over each room. We want to thank all who were able to attend.
