Nathan is One Month Old

Praise the LORD for this past month. At times it seems like it has flown by, but it also seems like i have known sweet Nathan for much longer than a month. I guess it was all that time in my womb and anticipating his arrival. Well, God has been good and faithful to us all throughout this first month and we pray for His continued blessings in the months/years ahead. I have learned that i am a much more anxious person than i thought, and have had to confess several times a day my anxiety. Phillipians 4:6-7 have been my key verses which has helped ("Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.") I also remind myself of God's faithfulness in not only my own life, but throughout the past and definitley into eternity. Ps 77:11 "Remember the days of the Lord, remeber His miracles of long ago." Enough about me, lets talk about sweet Nathan. He is now almost 10 pounds, has outgrown all of his premie outfits, and can wear #1 diapers instead of just newborn. He loves to go on walks(praise the Lord, because that is usually my "big" outing for the day), is becoming more alert and active by batting some of his toys on the rainforest play mat (i don't know if he is batting them intentionally but i like to think he is), loves bathtime, and for the last 4 nights is sleeping 4 hour increments at night. He also loves both sets of grandparents and sleeps best in their laps or shoulders. He must have an unspoken pact with his daddy because he has never squirted him during a diaper change, but has gotten me several times. All in all we love our little guy and praise the Lord for him everyday!
