Christmas in Huntsville

 

Nathan got to experience his first Christmas in Huntsville with his grandma and grandpa Mack and Uncle Kevin. We all had a great time and it was fun to be with my family and see all the decorations my mom put up. She has several villages of Christmas homes set up throughout the house which is always one of my favorite things to look at. My brother out did himself again with his Christmas meal (salad with arugula, figs, toasted nuts, mint and a homemade dressing; rissoto with ham, leeks, and sweet pototatoes; and roasted lamb stuffed with mustard greens and garlic)! My parents spoiled us all with gifts and good hospitality but the best gift for everyone was having Nathan to celebrate it all with us. Last Christmas was when we told my family about us being pregnant so it was great having him here with us this year. His big present was a high chair which he sat in a couple times but will really get to test it out in the next month or two. Another fun treat was that my sweetest friend and her husband (Shireen and Russell) came up to stay with us on the 26th and brought their joker game for us all to play. The next day we all went to Cathedral Caverns (pics of this trip in another post). Overall it was a wonderful Christmas and we thank the LORD for family and health, but most importantly for giving us a reason to celebrate all year long; his Son who dwelled among us, Jesus the Christ!
