The Matteo Family: Dan, Ashley, Nathan and Luke. We are so grateful for our marriage, our family, and our friends. I post on this blog to keep a record of all the memories we make together. But above all I give the glory and gratitude to the One and Only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the Glory!

All Dressed Up to Eat at Home
My brother, Kevin, has become quite the gourmet chef in the past couple of years and has treated us to several wonderful meals, including this past year's Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners (mentioned in previous posts). One of his favorite chefs is the local chef Frank Stitt who owns Highland Grill, Bottega, and Chez FonFon. We can't afford Higlands and we have all been to Bottega so Kevin suggested we test out the fine French fare at Chez FonFon. He drove down from Huntsville to visit and dine with us. We had all looked at the menu on line and knew what we were going to order and I called yesterday to make reservations, however they don't take reservations. So our plan was to beat the crowd and get there by 6pm. Well little Nathan got off his schedule a bit and didn't want to take his afternoon nap until much later in the day so it pushed our departure time to close to 6:30. All to say, we got to the resteraunt at 7 and there was an hour wait. NO GOOD, especially with a baby whose bedtime is around 8. We then drove around to find another suitable resteraunt because we did not want to disappoint my brother and we had all dressed up so we didn't want it to go to waste. Well, after 5 other stops and Nathan already falling asleep we ended up heading back home and picking up pizza (Donato's pepperoni which happens to be my favorite) and a movie. We had to laugh about it so we took funny pics of us dressed up eating pizza. I'm striking a pose in my fur (grrrrr), kevin is tipping his hat as a good sport for driving to Birmingham and only getting pizza, and dan is just happy that he saved a bunch of money by allowing me to get dressed up but only having to spend $15 all night!
