Escape to Ross Bridge

 

 

 

 

On Sunday night the three of us escaped to Ross Bridge for fun and relaxation. We chose this weekend one because it was on Valentine's weekend and two because Dan gets a great discount on certain days of the year for being a state worker and this happened to be one of those days. The unfortunate thing was that all three of us had colds so we didn't get to really party; but as you can see from the pictures we still had lots of fun. On Sunday afternoon after we checked in we walked throughout some of the neighborhoods and admired the gorgeous homes. We then stopped at one of the playgrounds and Nathan got to swing for the first time. He loved it and it was so cute to see his hair blow in the wind and his smile get bigger and bigger the more Dan pushed him. Next to the park is a cute ice-cream shop where we shared a smoothie and then walked back to the hotel. Other highlights included a yummy dinner from the clubhouse grill, SWIMMING, and their breakfast buffet! Nathan was once again all smiles when he got to go swimming for the first time. He will definitely be ready to go out on the lake with his grandparents and for lots of pool parties this summer. As many of you know, Dan and I love breakfast buffets, and this one did not let us down. It had pretty much anything and everything you could ask for and wasn't too overpriced: $16 a person sure beats $75 at the Waldorf Astoria (I'm sure you have all heard that story). We had a great time but hope to be able to go back again maybe in the summer, and when we are not sick.
