Montgomery Zoo

 

 

 

 

Dan took the last couple of days off to help me get Luke's nursery ready, do some projects at home, and try and relax as a family before we have a new baby. Since Dan LOVES going to the zoo we decided to take a day trip down to Montgomery to check out their zoo. It was really quite nice and many of the animal exhibits were really out in the open which simulated more of a natural habitat. It was an extremely hot day but there was a good bit of shade, a couple indoor exhibits, and several misting stations which Nathan loved. They also had a great playground which was entirely in the shade. Another highlight was the giraffe feeding area. It was fun to be so close to the giraffes but they gobbled up the food so fast I could barely get a picture in and didn't have a chance to touch them myself. Overall it was a fun day and we thank Daddy for taking the time to play with us this week. More zoo pics below.
