This past Sunday our church had a wonderful Palm Sunday service and then a church-wide picnic and Easter Egg Hunt. I appreciated everyone at the church who worked so hard to put such a fun and meaningful event together. As far as the egg hunt goes, Nathan did do better; he accumulated 6 eggs(you could get up to 12 eggs per child) but along the way found a frisbee and he was done with egg hunting(even though they were still many just laying out in front of him, he could have cared less). I say he did better because last year we went to 4 egg hunts and only got 3 eggs total(he was way too busy running, picking flowers or playing with surrounding toys to even pick up any eggs). We have one more egg hunt to go to this year so we will see how it goes. One fun thing we have been doing is talking about the Easter Story from the Bible by using Resurrection Eggs. You can order them through Family Life or get them at Lifeway Christian Book Stores. Each egg has a toy inside that tells a part of the Easter Story and Nathan loves to go through each one and has remembered quite a bit. I look forward to making this a yearly tradition.
The Matteo Family: Dan, Ashley, Nathan and Luke. We are so grateful for our marriage, our family, and our friends. I post on this blog to keep a record of all the memories we make together. But above all I give the glory and gratitude to the One and Only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the Glory!
