For the first time ever we went to the beach in September. We LOVED it! It wasn’t too hot but the water was still warm and nothing was crowded. It was wonderful. And it made it even nicer that my parents went with us. We all had fun playing with the boys in the morning and then Dan and I had a chance to walk on the beach by ourselves one day and even go out to eat alone one night. Of course, one of my highlights was taking lots and lots of pictures of our crazy boys. I loved all the different lighting and since they were excited about the beach they didn’t even mind seeing my camera out.
first day excitement: luke carried this shovel around for most of the trip, and nathan had fun just diving into the sand and flying a kite with the guys
Luke loved looking at the water but didn’t want much more than his toes touching
Nathan was a little hesitant of the ocean waves as well but didn’t mind the shallow water up near our towels
And yes, he loved the sand!
Here are some of my favorite pics because one of his favorite activities was to “surf” in the shallow water with his boogie board
Who doesn’t love sunsets at the beach
Family Picture Day: always a challenge but we tried to make it fun
Funny and not-so-funny. I was trying to just get a casual pic with the boys and the nice light behind me so we were playing in the sand and Nathan and I looked up and smiled on Dan’s cue but Luke had another idea: throw sand at mommy…that sounds fun. I didn’t care for the sand in my face but I sure am glad he captured the moment.
A couple more black and whites: eating ice-cream, playing on a slide, my parents holding hands, nathan chilling and some family shots
Some casual, fun shots
