18 months and first concert

 

 

 

Nathan turned 18 months last week (Feb 18th) but he just went to his 18 month check up yesterday so now the stats are in. He is 21 lbs 11 oz which puts him only in the 10th percentile of weight, but 34 inches long(i think thats right, i misplaced my sheet) which is the 80th percentile in height. The doctor wasn't worried about him being too skinny, he just said he is probably burning all his calories running around, and I can definitely believe that! He is really amazing us with how many words he is saying, just in this last month. He knows the parts of his face, most shapes, several animals and their noises and all the food that he likes to eat(which is mainly starchy snacks and fruit, no meat or veggies). Now I do have to admit he mainly says the first syallable of most words but at least he is starting to get his point across which makes things easier. The pictures above are of Dan letting Nathan play on the real drums for the first time; please excuse the hat, we were on our way outside. Nathan loved the drums and did well considering the drumsticks were twice as long as his arm. The most recent "cute" thing he does is when we ask him "Where is mommy's baby?" he lays his head down on my belly. So sweet!
