Beach 2011

Last week we went to the beach for the first time in two years. Dan had a conference Tues-Friday which cramped his beach time a little but thankfully he only had to work all day one of those days. Another huge praise is that my parents went down there with us. Not only are they a lot of fun, but also a huge help with two small children at the beach. It literally took at least 3 adults to carry ALL the stuff we "needed" down to the beach every day.

We all had a great time!!! Nathan had fun building and crashing sand castles with Papa and Daddy; boogie boarding with me in the ocean; going to the marina with Papa to see the big boats come in; and after watching so many other kids without floaties on he gave it a try and by the end of the week he was jumping into the pool and swimming back to the side without floaties!!! Nathan's only complaint was the the ocean was dirty(meaning salty tasting). Thankfully the water was very clean and clear the whole time we were there.

Luke also had a great time and didn't mind crawling all over the sand and even down into the ocean. His only complaint was that after completely covering himself in sand his eyes always itched and he would try and rub them with his sandy hands. Oh well, thats about the time we would head up to the pool.

While we were there Dan and I got to go out to eat with his work friends one night and walk around the stores by ourselves one afternoon(thanks to the grandparents). We all went out to eat one night at a place in Orange Beach called "Cobalt" and it was really nice and yummy and the kids did well.
