A Work in Progress

Just trying to figure out which side is up and what language makes more sense

 

6 hours later we finally have some kind of structure

 

12 hours into it we have moved to the backyard and its starting to resemble a play house

 

Hours 14-16 of the first weekend and then 3 subsequent weekends

 

Looks like fun right? Well, I have to start off on a positive note. We were very excited and grateful that not only did my parents splurge and buy this playhouse for the boys' birthday but they also came into town and WORKED for at least 16 hours to help assemble this little jewel. So thats the nice part.

The unkind words/thoughts go to the manufactuers of these playhouses. The directions said "will take two moderatley capable adults and 8-10 hours of time." WRONG WRONG WRONG! To start with we got two boxes from the store and opened them up and it was just a bunch of pieces of wood and a bag of loose screws and bolts. So for over 2 hours my parents and I compared our box o' pieces with the directions and labeled them accordingly with a sharpie. Now that we got that taken care of we should be homefree. WRONG AGAIN! I really didn't have ANY part of building this but the comments from the builders were not favorable regarding the ease of the directions. All this to say is that this was definitley a work ....in progress.

However, I am thankful no one got hurt, we all got good exercise, and we got to have many (MANY) good hours of bonding. And no my mom wasn't lifting any boards she may have had the hardest job of all... reading and interpreting the instructions. I have no doubt she could pass both the MCAT or LSAT on any given day.
