Nathan 3 Year Old Stats

The Stats are in: Nathan grew 3 inches in one year and is up to 37.5 inches yet continues to be skinny as ever at 29.2 pounds.

Below are things I want to remember about this age(may not be that interesting to others):
-He loves ALL music! Music is on at all times of the day except for meal times and night time. He knows all the CDs and what song numbers he likes. He is always playing instruments that we have at the house or made up ones(violin= his guitar under his chin with a drumstick as a bow; trombone=vacuum extension piece; flute=toilet paper roll; trumpet or saxophone=paper towel roll). I am thankful he likes music and really likes all different kinds. I hope he continues to enjoy and thrive in this area. Of course the highlight of his day/week is to play drums with daddy every night in the basement and to go into church on Sunday mornings to watch daddy play.
-His favorite stuffed animals are definitley his Larry the Cucumer and Bob the Tomato from Veggitales, and a stuffed dog he sleeps with.
-He loves to swim and anything related to boats or water. Playing with the hose continues to fill lots of hours during the day for us.
-He eats just about anything now which is better than in the past. Sometimes he isn't that excited about dinner but he knows thats his only option so usually eats a little of everything. His favorites are: blueberry greek yogurt, any kind of fruit, chicken nuggets, ravioli, corn on the cobb, and of course any kind of snack he sees his dad eating.
-He continues to have discipline problems with pushing other kids and saying "No" to us and other adults. However, there have been improvements. Although he doesn't like the fact that Luke wants everything he is playing with, he is actually quite patient and kind to Luke.
-He loves to memorize and Dan taught him all 50 states and their capitals and he learned them in less than 2 weeks.
We just started a scripture memory book so hopefully he will be just as excited about that and God's Word will truly move in his heart(and all of ours).
-He started 3K preschool two days a week this year and has to go through the carpool line. He seemed nervous the first day but didn't cry and hasn't had a problem since then.
-His vocabulary is really increasing and its amazing the words he comes up with: "Daddy, thank you for building me a fort, its beautiful." Dan and I just looked at each other and thought, "beautiful?" where did he learn that.
"Mommy, don't forget to get Daddy plums when you go to the store today."
"Mommy, be quiet, i have a message from my friend, he texted me." Note to self, I need to use better manners myself when asking him to be quiet.
"Mommy, go up this hill to go home but remember to turn."
"Mommy, heaven is really high right?" "yes, baby." "God lives there right?" "Yes." "How am I going to get all the way up there to see God?" I wanted to lay out the whole Gospel message to him right there but thought it maybe a little too early so I just told him that we can't get to God by ourselves and that He will take us up there when He is ready if we believe and love Jesus.
-He continues to take a good afternoon nap, but other than that it is non-stop action!
-We are so grateful for this sweet, active, rambunctious boy and pray daily for God to raise Him up to know and love the Lord. How fast the 3 years have gone!
