We took a rode trip out to Houston at the beginning of November. I was really dreading the long car ride but we did take it in 2 days and by God’s mercy the boys did way better than they normally do in the car.
Dan’s parents were back in the country and most of all his other relatives live out there so we were excited to see everybody. It was great getting to spend some time with his parents because we hadn’t seen them since Luke was 8 months old. We also got to see his Grandfather, his aunt, and his uncle and family. We stayed at his sister’s house with her 3 daughters which is a paradise for little boys: a barn with a pig, horse, cow, bunnies, and 5 dogs; a trampoline; and both a Wii and X-box inside.
We loved seeing everyone which is the main reason we go there, but we also got to do some fun outings such as go to the Houston Aquarium, the Houston zoo, the local high school football game, and his uncle’s fancy and delicious restaurant. During out travels we stopped in Baton Rouge and went aboard the USS KIDD battleship, and also made a stop at Dunn’s Falls outside of Meridian Miss.
Luke got up close and personal to the horse trying to feed him some grass.
Nathan loved getting to play with his cousin Alexis and she was a good sport to put up with all of his batman moves!
Nathan loved the trampoline(seriously jumped over 3 hours a day). I always like taking silhouette pictures so thought it may be fun while he was on the trampoline
Having fun at the zoo and getting spoiled by their aunt Adri. Luke is admiring his loot after Adri bought them both toys and push-ups from the gift shop.
The Aquarium
Playing in Adri’s yard and I loved how the light was shining on him.
Dunn’s Falls
Our gorgeous niece Gaby. She is a senior at Katy High School and is on the Brigade team. We got to see her perform at the football game. We love you and are proud of you Gaby!
The USS KIDD. Dan and Nathan LOVED it. We all enjoyed getting out of the car for awhile.
Nathan checked out every square inch of the ship.
